Matthew – Traditional & Black and Gray Tattooing

Matthew is a San Antonio native whose love for art started early—he was the quiet kid in class, always doodling in the margins, sketching outside of art period, and keeping to himself with a pencil in hand. That quiet obsession with drawing turned into a deeper love for tattooing after a trip to a local shop for a piercing. From that moment, he knew he wanted to be covered—and eventually, be the one creating the tattoos.

As soon as he was able, Matthew started collecting. He was in the shop monthly, getting large pieces done and building connections with the artists. Once he felt comfortable, he started sharing his own passion for art and began practicing on fake skin—ordering starter kits, working every chance he got while juggling school and work. When the opportunity finally came to be part of a shop, he went all in.

Today, Matthew is known for his clean, bold traditional tattoos—hand-sized bangers, solid lines, and timeless designs that hold up for years. He’s all about quality and consistency, giving clients strong, well-done pieces. He loves the energy of quick, focused appointments where you can vibe, talk a little, and walk away with something you’re proud to wear.

While traditional work is his main focus, Matthew is always pushing himself as an artist. He’s been leaning into black and gray tattooing—bringing in softer shading, more detail, and a different kind of depth to his designs. His goal is to stay versatile, never boxed in, and always growing.
